Sean M. Sanford was born in Northern California and has lived in San Francisco since 2007. He writes fiction and music reviews for Lowcard magazine, and he wrote fiction for the online periodical Defiant Scribe while it was still in production. He has a book of his own collected short fiction from both publications called A Manbaby’s Requiem available at bookstores and skateshops. He’s also had fiction in The American Drivel Review and non-fiction in The Thoughtful Beggar, Horror DNA, and Broke-Ass Stuart. He is co-founder and head writer for Rockward Silence, an online music magazine. He was given a guest-artist pro skateboard graphic with Party Animal Part Machine skateboards for his fiction. He has led Creative Writing workshops with the San Francisco Skate Club afterschool program, and he substitute teaches throughout the San Francisco United School District. He co-founded Effin Relax with his wife Candice. They have a storefront on Divisadero in San Francisco where Sanford hosts regular poetry and fiction readings.
