Faculty Strike!

SF Creative Writing professors and lecturers have participated in a historic strike on Tuesday December 5th, 2023. Read blow for a lovely word from our own beloved lecturer, Junse Kim!

Hi Everyone,

We had a powerful, positive Strike yesterday! 826 people signed in at the picket line, well over our target of 700, and we received plenty of favorable local and national media: https://sites.google.com/view/cfa-sfsustrikeready/flyers-media/news

On Tuesday, CFA will go back to the bargaining table with CSU, and if there is no meaningful improvements to their inadequate offers to date, more Strike days will continue in the Spring Semester. After yesterday’s fantastic turnout at the picket line, we sent a clear message to SFSU/CSU that we have the capacity fo run effective Strike in the future. Thank you all for participating in the Strike by withholding our labor, and showing SFSU/CSU that our Union is STRONG!
